MBP researchers Dr. Kristin Hope, Dr. Marianne Koritzinsky, Dr. Fa-Hsuan Lin and Dr. Gang Zhenghave been presented with a 2021 Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) award for projects they are currently leading. This support is provided through the CFI John R. Evans Leaders Fund, which provides cutting-edge tools and equipment for exceptional researchers across the country.

Dr. Kristin Hope - Characterizing and unlocking the therapeutic potential of stem cells and the leukemic microenvironment
Dr. Marianne Koritzinsky - Targeted therapeutics to enhance radiotherapy efficacy and safety in the era of image-guided conformal treatment
Dr. Fa-Hsuan Lin - Integrated non-invasive human neuroimaging and neuromodulation platform
Dr. Gang Zheng - Preclinical magnetic resonance imaging for targeted brain tumour therapies
The prestigious awards were announced on August 11th by the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry. More than $77M was awarded to support 332 research infrastructure projects at 50 universities across the country.
