We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Mark Chiew, Associate Professor, to the Department of Medical Biophysics. We have provided some information about him below.
Mark Chiew is a Scientist at Sunnybrook Research Institute, and an Associate Professor in the Department of Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto. He completed his undergraduate degree in Engineering Physics from the University of British Columbia (2007), and a PhD in Medical Biophysics from the University of Toronto (2012), followed by post-doctoral research at the University of Oxford. From 2017-2022, Dr. Chiew held a Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellowship in the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Oxford, where he most recently held the title of Associate Professor. His research focuses on the development of computational methods for the acquisition and reconstruction of rapid and robust magnetic resonance imaging of the brain.
