MBP Faculty Participate in 2019 Metalloproteases GRC Seminar
MBP researchers Dr. Rama Khokha and Dr. Thomas Kislinger are in Lucca Italy this week, contributing to the 2019 Metalloproteases GRC 'Structure, Function and New Methods in Metalloproteases' seminar, being held from May 12-17.
At the Metalloproteases GRC, invited talks cover the latest advances in technologies that:
allow for the tracking of metalloprotease activity within tissue microenvironments
characterize nuances in physical extracellular matrix biomechanics that shape tissue biology
showcase structures of and drugs for targeting metalloproteases
address new findings regarding the ability of metalloproteases to impact development, tissue niches, homeostasis and age-related diseases such as neurodegeneration, inflammation and cancer.
This conference also provides an outstanding international forum for scientific exchange to fuel new ideas, prioritizing presentations of unpublished data from established and emerging leaders.
Dr. Khokha is serving as Chair of the event and Dr. Kislinger is presenting a talk entitled 'Translational Proteomics: Liquid Biopsies and Therapeutic Targets'.
