MBP scientist Dr. Gordon Keller has been announced as one of three finalists for the prestigious Bloom Burton Award, a distinction that ‘honours an individual who made the greatest contribution to Canada’s innovative healthcare industry in the previous year’.
Dr. Keller’s nomination is based on his involvement in the $1 billion exit of BlueRock Therapeutics, a leading stem-cell research company he co-founded in 2016, and for his contribution to the development of a major Toronto laboratory that employs over 100 world-class scientists.
The award finalists will be celebrated at the Bloom Burton Award Gala held on September 24, 2020 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto.
The Department of Medical Biophysics congratulates Dr. Keller on this outstanding achievement.
