MBP researcher Dr. Fei-Fei Liu has been awarded the prestitious designation of 'Fellow of ASTRO', in recognition of her sustained service to ASTRO (the American Society for Radiation Oncology) and her overall contributions to the field of radiation oncology.
ASTRO is the premier radiation oncology society in the world, with more than 10,000 members who are physicians, nurses, biologist, physicists, radiation therapists, dosimetrists and other health care professionals who specialize in treating patients with radiation therapies. Together, these teams treat more than 1 million cancer patients each year. As the leading organization in radiation oncology, the Society is dedicated to improving patient care through professional education and training, support for clinical practice and health policy standards, advancement of science, research and advocacy.
Dr. Liu will receive this award during ASTRO's 61st Annual Meeting held in Chicago this coming September.
