MBP researcher Dr. Daniel de Carvalho has been elected as a 2019 Fellow in the Royal Society of Canada's (RSC) incoming class of The College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists.

Dr. de Carvalho was selected by a group of peers for his outstanding scholarly and scientific achievements. Recognition by the RSC is the "highest honor an individual can achieve in the Arts, Social Sciences and Sciences".

This year, ninety-three new Fellows will be inducted, including Dr. de Carvalho. RSC President Chad Gaffield states "[these individuals] have made outstanding contributions to their fields and to Canada’s intellectual and artistic breadth and are making a tremendously positive impact on the world. We recognize them for all that they have done, and indeed will continue to do, to advance scholarly and public life in Canada and around the world,”

The 2019 Fellows will be officially awarded this November in Ottawa, during the RSC's Celebration of Excellence and Engagement.

Please join the department in congratulating Dr. de Carvalho on this outstanding achievement.
