MBP Hosts Annual Open House
The 2019 Medical Biophysics Open House was held on Saturday, November 2nd at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. This annual event showcases all that MBP has to offer prospective graduate and summer students interested in medical research.
Approximately 280 participants attended to learn about MBP research, facilities, courses, admissions and to meet our amazing faculty and graduate students.
The day began with a welcome and introduction from MBP Chair Dr. Thomas Kislinger and MBP Vice-Chair Dr. John Sled, who also provided overviews of the MBP program and admissions. MBP Graduate Student Association presidents Jessica Petricca and Nicholas Luciw also addressed the attendees and discussed how the MBPGSA represents and supports students in the program.
Throughout the day, prospective students were invited to browse poster displays and converse with MBP faculty and graduate students about MBP research, graduate program structure, summer student opportunities and MBP student life.
