Dr. Stuart Foster Appointed to Order of Canada

MBP researcher Dr. Stuart Foster has been appointed as an Officer of the Order of Canada, one of the country’s highest civilian honours. 

Presented by the Governor General, this distinction acknowledges outstanding achievement and service to the nation and to humanity.

Dr. Foster is being recognized for his innovative research and technology translation in the field of medical ultrasound, which has transformed high-resolution diagnostic ultrasound use in biomedical applications.

Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, announced Dr. Foster’s appointment on June 30, 2025.
