Dr. Aaron Schimmer Receives Norman Rosenblum Award for Excellence in Mentorship
MBP scientist Dr. Aaron Schimmer has been announced by the Temerty Faculty of Medicine as the winner of a Norman Rosenblum Award for Excellence in Mentorship in the MD/PhD program.
The Rosenblum Award recognizes Dr. Schimmer's "commitment to and excellence in mentoring the students enrolled in the MD/PhD Program".
Award recipients are selected from nominees identified in a Faculty-wide process via letters of support, which are carefully reviewed by a panel of faculty members and students. This award honours Dr. Schimmer’s invaluable contribution to the Faculty’s educational mission through his patience, availability, and thoughtful, timely guidance and advice.
In lieu of an Education Achievement Celebration event, the Temerty Faculty of Medicine plans to celebrate Dr. Schimmer as a recipient of this award at a medicineawards.utoronto.ca later this spring.
