Course Description
MBP1010 is a graduate level course in applied introductory biostatistics and bioinformatics. The biostatistics section is designed to help students understand and critically interpret results from common biostatistical analyses. It covers the fundamental concepts of summarizing data and statistical inference, including hypothesis testing, p-values, and confidence intervals. Specific topics include comparisons of means and proportions, non-parametric tests, correlation and regression, analysis of variance. The bioinformatics section will include an introduction to microarray analysis and the use of bioinformatics databases. |
