*What is Medical Biophysics? The name summarizes our central focus, the application of research in biological and physical science to the problems of medicine. We welcome students from backgrounds in molecular and cell biology, physiology, biochemistry and chemistry as well as physics, engineering, mathematics and beyond. The diversity of our Faculty and the abundance of multi-disciplinary projects reflect these backgrounds. Our laboratories are located in Canada's largest cluster of hospital-based institutes in downtown Toronto. Translation of basic science to clinical medicine is our shared goal.
